Manchester United fans invaded the pitch at Old Trafford in protest of the Glazer family’s ownership of the club.
Manchester United supporters have stormed Old Trafford and managed to gain access to the playing surface ahead of their Premier League clash against Liverpool.
Sunday’s fixture between the two old rivals has been targeted by home fans as a continuation of their protests over Glazer’s ownership of the club.
As well as numerous groups forming outside the ground, a group has been spotted on the Old Trafford pitch just hours before their fixture was due to start.
The latest protest comes after a large scale gathering of United fans outside the ground following the failed European Super League plans, as well as a training ground meeting.
The huge gathering at the ground comes ahead of the planned 16:30 kick-off, with an away win handing Manchester City the title.
The events, which unfold during the social media blackout, have left supporters confused over how the game will be able to go ahead.
Footage then emerged on social media of some United supporters on the pitch at Old Trafford, having broken into the stadium.
The game is still likely to go on but the Manchester United owners might be left with a second thought if such incidents continue to carry on.
