Two of the Red Devils’ players will miss the upcoming Europa League last-16 tie while the availability of two more is still a doubt.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has informed that Donny van de Beek and Edinson Cavani will not participate in Manchester United’s clash with Real Sociedad on Thursday.

Anthony Martial and Scott McTominay are doubts for the Europa League Round of 32 first-leg tie despite being included in the squad.

The injury comes as a blow for Van de Beek, who has been unable to impress since his summer move and might have been hoping for game time.

Cavani’s injury, meanwhile, is a blow for the Red Devils, with the Uruguayan marksman being a rich source of goals having netted seven times across all competitions.

“We have a couple of doubtful ones, if they’ll be fit enough – Anthony and Scott,” said Solskjaer, speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the trip to the Allianz Stadium.

“Donny and Edinson are injured unfortunately, muscle injuries, so they won’t travel.”
