The United midfielder has many years ahead of him as a player, but he has already thought his post-retirement days.

Since joining Man United in 2020, Bruno Fernandes has established himself as a key player at Old Trafford. In his 102 games for the English giants, Fernandes has scored 45 goals and provided 34 assists.

The midfielder took part in secret Santa with young fans, where he was asked questions on his future.

“I want to be a manager, I am doing the course,” Fernandes said (via Mirror).

Several former stars have developed into top-class coaches in recent years. Pep Guardiola, Zinedine Zidane are the best examples, with Steven Gerrard already taking huge steps toward elite-level success.

Fernandes previously told United’s website: “I’m trying to enjoy the football, you know. I think I want to be a coach. Honestly, I would like to be a coach.

“I don’t know which team I would like to manage. Of course, the biggest team if I can manage Manchester United, I will be happy.

“I can leave now just some words so if people see this, if I’m a manager in the future, the fans can make some pressure to bring me as a coach!

“But I think I would like to be a coach in the future. I’m not sure but for what I feel for football, for the feeling I have, I think I have to continue to be inside of football because my whole life is about this.

“So I think, in the future, it needs to be with football too.”

Man United sacked their former star Ole Gunnar Solskjaer earlier this season. The Red Devils are trying to regain their best form under their new boss Ralf Rangnick. Fernandes will most likely remain a key figure under the German boss. However, his pressing duties will most likely increase in midfield.
