Old Trafford was the place where Man United got a visit from AS Roma in the Europa League’s semifinal. We have tonight’s player ratings.

Manchester United played an incredible match against AS roma at Old Trafford this evening. The Red Devils just confirmed they are gunning for the title this season, especially after tonight’s display against the Italians. In the first half, they only managed to open the score board and Roma even responded with two consecutive goals before the break. Edinson Cavani set Bruno Fernandes up for a beautiful goal with a one-two combination.

Lorenzo Pellegrini scored from the spot shortly after that and Edin Dzeko scored the second for Roma not long after. But the Red Devils wanted to make a statement tonight, they didn’t allow a single more goal during a demolishing second half. Cavani scored a stupendous brace right after the break that gave United the tranquility they needed.

Bruno seals a brilliant performance.

After the break and Cavani’s goals, Bruno Fernanes got another chance at scoring a penalty that he didn’t waste. Paul Pogba also got his goal with a potent header that gave United the fifth goal of the evening. Finally, Mason Greenwood got to score the sixth goal in order to get back a little of that lost confidence.

This result pretty much seals the ticket to the final for Manchester United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is getting closer to the first title as the Red Devils’ boss thanks to mesmerizing performances from both Bruno and Cavani. Maybe we are looking at the next Europa League champions but only time will tell. What did you think of tonight’s performance at Old Trafford?
