The Red Devils clinched a hard-fought win over Norwich to reach the fifth spot on the league table.

Manchester United defeated Norwich City 3-2 in their Premier League game on Saturday. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the 50th hat-trick of his club career as United bagged a crucial victory at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo is unstoppable! ⚽⚽⚽

Man United started the game by pushing for an early breakthrough against the Canaries. Following an assist from Anthony Elanga, Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the seventh minute.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner doubled United’s lead 25th minutes later as he flew past Norwich defenders to score a precise header.

United seemed to be on their way to clinching an easy home win, but the Canaries got back into the game with Kieran Dowell’s goal just before the interval.

The guests looked even more improved when the second period started. Following an assist from Dowell, Teemu Pukki shocked United by scoring Norwich’s equalizer in the 52nd minute.

Seeing their lead vanish at the early stages of the second period, United pushed hard to reclaim their victory. It was then Ronaldo’s turn to, once again, win a crucial game for the Red Devils.

The Portuguese superstar scored an incredible freekick from 25 yards to complete his second Premier League hat-trick of the season.

The goal also revived United’s hopes of securing a Champions League spot for the next season. Following the unexpected defeats of Tottenham and Arsenal earlier today, United now move to fifth place on the table.

Ronaldo and co are now only three points behind Spurs, who sit fourth in the Premier League.

What’s next for Man United?

Man United will now prepare to face Liverpool in the North-West Derby. The two sides will meet at Anfield on Tuesday. Let’s see if the Red Devils can build on their dramatic win over Norwich and surprise their arch-rivals.
