Old Trafford was the place where both teams from Manchester met in a new edition of a derby between Man City and Man United.

Man United met Man City right after getting eliminated from the Champions League this week as they searched for another three points. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer previously revealed he doesn’t think the squad is doing such a terrible job in recent games. In today’s commitment, the Red Devils proved his manager right after dominating the offensive game against an overly defensive Manchester City.

Even Paul Pogba played a fantastic game from a defensive standpoint. Despite all the noise surrounding him, Paul took this game quite seriously and performed at a high level against City. Even though he wasn’t able to help his teammates get that victory, he was very important with the ball recovery. The players up front weren’t as sharp as usual due to the extremely sharp defensive game from both squads.

Ferran Torres couldn’t make the difference.

Pep Guardiola’s recent substitution changes haven’t been too many. Today, he only decided to use Ferran Torres in the second half. The Spanish forward has been one of Manchester City’s most pleasant surprises this season but he didn’t have a lucky day. Despite his efforts, Torres wasn’t able to change the outcome of the game.

Regardless of the result, this clean sheet equals Manchester City’s all-time record of six consecutive matches without conceding. This draw leaves both clubs from Manchester still outside of European spots but both of them leave with an acceptable aftertaste. An acceptable result for both Premier League giants.
