In his home debut for the Citizens, Jack Grealish was among those on target in the commanding victory over the Canaries.

Manchester City put five past Norwich City in their second match of the 2021-22 Premier League season.

Manchester City were missing their best player in Kevin De Bruyne but little did it matter as they thumped their opponents on Saturday to get their first win of the new league campaign after suffering a shock loss against Tottenham on matchday 1.

A stroke of luck helped the Sky Blues get the lead. It was a defending gone wrong as Grant Hanley, in an attempt to block Gabriel Jesus’ dangerous cross, diverted the ball against Tim Krul and into the back of his own net.

It was Jack Grealish who doubled the hosts’ lead. The British record signing happened to be on the end of Jesus’ cross and simply tapped home from three yards out to open his goalscoring account for his new club.

Two goals in a space of seven minutes in the second half by Aymeric Laporte and Raheem Sterling put the game beyond doubt for City. Riyad Mahrez then sealed the thunderous victory with a clinical late strike.
