The Man Utd star has been out with an ankle injury in recent weeks.

Erik ten Hag has admitted that Antony will most likely miss Manchester United’s upcoming FA Cup final against Manchester City.

The Brazilian star suffered an ankle injury in Man Utd’s 4-1 win over Chelsea. The test results were better than expected, but Antony might still miss the Wembley final.

“Unlikely,” Ten Hag said of Antony’s chances of playing the game.

“Antony still [has] a chance but a really small chance. He didn’t make progress, so he still has a chance, but unlikely he is available.”

Man Utd only have Antony and Anthony Martial on the sidelines ahead of their match against City. However, Ten Hag wasn’t keen to discuss the Frenchman’s fitness issue.

“These questions, so many times from the media about absence of players in the last couple of months and every time I say the same answer: it is about the players who are available and many times we were successful,” the boss said.

“So we have a good squad and from the good squad we make a good team.”

Despite repeatedly expressing his satisfaction with United’s current squad, Ten Hag is set to add a number of players to his team this summer.

Alexis Mac Allister is on the verge of joining the Red Devils, while the likes of Mason Mount and Harry Kane remain on the club’s radar.
