The Citizens are keen to add another young midfielder to their squad next summer.

Manchester City are keen to sign Khephren Thuram in the next transfer window.

Thuram has attracted interest from a number of elite sides with his fantastic performances for Nice this season. The midfielder also earned his first cap for France earlier this year.

According to Foot Mercato, Man City are competing against Real Madrid, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, and Paris Saint-Germain for the 22-year-old’s signature.

PSG, in particular, have been closely following Thuram’s situation in the past few months.

The Parisians hope to keep the young midfielder in Ligue 1 with a €50m offer. However, Nice are reportedly hoping to receive €60m as the race to sign Thuram heats up.

Thuram has mostly played as a defensive midfielder at Nice this season, making 30 Ligue 1 appearances. The French side sit ninth on the league table while reaching the Conference League’s quarter-finals.

Back in March, Thuram reacted to the growing interest in his next transfer decision.

“I hear, but I don’t concentrate on it,” said Thuram.

“I am with Nice. I am very happy where I am. I am trying to get bigger with the club. I am trying to grow up with the club.

“So, yeah, obviously I hear it, but it’s not the most important.

“The most important is to do good with the team and be happy where I am.”
