The Blancos were among Haaland’s main suitors before his move to Etihad.
There is no clause in Erling Haaland’s Manchester City contract to allow a possible transfer to Real Madrid in 2024.
Widespread reports in Spanish media claimed the Norwegian has already outlined his plans for joining the Blancos.
Guardiola admits his newly-signed striker wants to try all of the top leagues. However, he’s sure there’s not a special clause for Real Madrid in Haaland’s contract at Etihad.
“I think Erling wants to test out his capabilities in every league,” he said in Viaplay’s new documentary, Haaland: The Big Decision. “Then he can stay in every league for three to four years maximum.
“He could have two-and-a-half years in Germany, two-and-a-half in England, and then in Spain, Italy, France, right?”
Asked about the contract rumours, the Spanish boss responded: “It’s not true, he has no release clause for Real Madrid or any other team.
“It’s not true, what can I say? I have the feeling he is incredibly happy here. We will try with him and the others to make him happy.”
Haaland has scored 19 goals in his 12 appearances for the Citizens so far this season. The Norwegian will have a chance to extend his unbelievable Premier League tally when Guardiola’s men face Southampton this Saturday.
