Man City: Doku breaks TWO EPL records in magical Bournemouth show

The Manchester City winger made another incredible display for the Citizens.

Jeremy Doku scored a goal and provided four assists in Manchester City’s 6-1 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday.

Doku moved to Man City on a £55.5m transfer from Rennes in the summer. Despite still fighting for a regular place in Pep Guardiola’s starting XI, Doku has already started to shine for the Citizens.

The 21-year-old scored City’s opener against Bournemouth after a brilliant one-two with Rodri on the edge of the box. He then provided assists for Bernardo Silva (twice), Manuel Akanji, and Phil Foden to complete his wonderful performance at Etihad.

At the age of 21 years and 161 days, Doku became the youngest player in Premier League history to have five goal involvements in a single match. He also broke the record for being the youngest player to assist for goals in an EPL game.

Doku has already registered two goals and five assists in his eight matches for the Citizens. The Belgian star is versatile enough to play on both wings, but he is expected to mainly compete with Jack Grealish for a starting spot on the left-hand side of City’s attacking line.

Following their crushing win over the Cherries, City will prepare to take on Young Boys in their next Champions League game on Tuesday.
