A crushing home win was enough for Pep Guardiola’s men to reach the FA Cup’s next round.

Manchester City defeated Burnley 6-0 in their FA Cup clash on Sunday. A perfect attacking display ensured Citizens’ victory over their guests.

Haaland bags another hat trick!

The game started with Man City quickly establishing their dominance. Burnely repelled a host of serious attacks, but the Citizens finally broke the deadlock through Erling Haaland in the 32nd minute.

The Norway international then doubled City’s lead only three minutes later. Following a brilliant run and assist from Phil Foden, Haaland made it 2-0 from close range.

Vincent Kompany made two changes at the beginning of the second period, trying to mount a comeback. But the situation only got worse for the Clarets after the break.

Haaland scored his sixth hat-trick of the season by converting the rebound of Foden’s shot that bounced off the right post. The Citizens went 4-0 ahead when Julian Alvarez scored their next goal only three minutes later.

Pep Guardiola brought Haaland off in the 63rd minute, replacing him with Cole Palmer. The Man City youngster found the back of the net only five minutes after the substitution.

Alvarez then put the icing on the cake for the hosts by completing his brace in the 73rd minute. The Argentine international made it 6-0 from close range, finishing a brilliant piece of buildup play from the Citizens.

City will meet Liverpool in their first game after the international break on April 1.
