City’s stay at the top of the table was short-lived as Pep Guardiola’s men failed to continue their winning run.

Nottingham Forest held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw in their Premier League game on Saturday. A late equalizer from Chris Wood prevented City from claiming the three points at City Ground.

Good day to be an Arsenal fan!

City leapfrogged Arsenal from the top of the Premier League table by beating them on Wednesday. But the Gunners reclaimed the spot when they defeated Aston Villa with a dramatic comeback earlier today.

City started the game by dominating the possession while Forest retreated to their own half. However, the Citizens rarely managed to create early chances.

The game seemed destined to go into half-time with a goalless draw. But then Bernardo Silva produced a moment of individual brilliance to put his side ahead in the 41st minute.

Following a pass from Jack Grealish on the edge of the box, Silva unleashed a stunning strike to make 1-0 for the guests.

City pushed hard to double their lead at the beginning of the second period.

However, their efforts were not enough to break Forest’s solid defence. Erling Haaland came the closest when he missed a golden chance in the 67th minute from close range.

Forest eventually punished the visitors for their wastefulness when Chris Wood scored the equalizer in the 84th minute.
Pep Guardiola made too rushed substitutions to turn the game around. But that wasn’t enough to claim the three points for City.

Arsenal return to the top of the Premier League table with a two-point lead over City and a game at hand.
Next, Guardiola’s men will take on RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday.
