Yves Bissouma might end his spell with the Seagulls as soon as the coming transfer window.

Since joining Brighton in 2018, Yves Bissouma has developed himself into one of the most in-demand midfielders of the Premier League.

The former Lille star has 15 months on his current deal at Brighton, with several clubs already pursuing his signature. The Seagulls have managed to fend off Bissouma’s suitors over the past couple of seasons. However, they might have to say goodbye to their versatile midfielder in the summer transfer window.

According to 90min, the Mali international has informed Brighton that he wants to leave the club next summer. Several Premier League sides have reportedly expressed their interest in Bissouma.

Aston Villa and Arsenal are the frontrunners in the race to sign the 25-year-old next summer. Brighton rejected a bid from Villa in the winter while the Gunners had monitored Bissouma the summer before.

In addition to these two sides, Manchester United, Newcastle, Liverpool, and Leicester City are also keeping tabs on the Malian star. In France, Monaco might try to prize away Bissouma as they are on the verge of losing Aurelien Tchouameni.

Brighton showed they are not interested in selling the Mali international by rejecting Villa’s offer in January. However, with the player moving toward the final 12 months of his contract, the Seagulls might consider cashing in on him in the coming transfer window.
