Maitland-Niles claims he is only focused on Arsenal, amid speculation over potential move to Wolverhampton this summer.
Arsenal full-back Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been identified by Wolverhampton coach Nuno Espirito Santo as a potential replacement for Matt Doherty, who is expected to complete a move to Tottenham in the coming days.
The Englishman was already subject of a failed bid from the Wolves earlier this week reported to be between £15-20 million.
Maitland-Niles, who has turned 23 today, was named Man of the Match for his impressive performance in the Community Shield victory over Liverpool.
He insists he has only Arsenal on his mind and will hive 100% for the club, as long as he is officially a Gunner.
“It was a special moment,” he said. “The first time I’ve ever played on my birthday and playing at Wembley, fighting for another cup and another title for the club,” said Maitland-Niles for the club’s official website.
“We brought it home today and it’s just a fantastic feeling that this group of boys have proved something last season and kept going into this season.
“I’m an Arsenal player until I’m told otherwise. My heart is in this club and while I’m here I’m going to give 100% to the club, so that’s that.”
