Another door leading to tangible success closed down for the Red Devils following their lackluster display against the Foxes on Sunday.

Harry Maguire insists there is “no excuse” for Manchester United’s FA Cup elimination and says his team “must bounce back” after the setback.

Manchester United took to the pitch at the King Power Stadium on the back of a slender yet crucial 1-0 win against AC Milan that booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

They were hoping to keep up the momentum and advance to the next round of the FA Cup as well, but things didn’t go according to the scripts.

Kelechi Iheanacho hit a double sandwiched between Youri Tielemans’ strike as Leicester City progressed to the semi-finals for the first time since 1982 after a deserved 3-1 win.

The Red Devils carried a 13-game unbeaten run in all competitions and a 28-game away domestic unbeaten run prior to the match but struggled to cause any serious problems for the opposition defense and looked shaky at the back.

Maguire wrote in an Instagram post: “A tough one to take – It’s been a relentless run of games and today shown (sic), still no excuse we know we must do better.

“Still lots to play for and we must bounce back.”
