The newly-promoted side are on the verge of adding a new right-back to their ranks.
Luton Town are reportedly close to signing Manchester City’s Issa Kabore on loan.
Since joining the Citizens in 2020, Kabore has spent loan spells at KV Mechelen, Troyes, and Marseille, making a total of 95 senior appearances.
City have decided to send the Burkina Faso star to another loan deal this summer. A report from Fabrizio Romano claims Kabore has also earned a contract extension at Etihad.
Since securing a Premier League promotion, Luton have started bolstering their squad with new signings.
Chiedozie Ogbene has arrived on a free move from Rotherham while Mads Andersen has joined the newly-promoted side from Barnsley. In addition to these two defenders, the Hatters have also added former Birmingham star Tahith Chong to their forward line.
After completing Kabore’s loan move, Luton are expected to to sign Marvelous Nakamba on a permanent transfer. The 29-year-old midfielder made 20 appearances for Luton after a winter loan from Aston Villa.
Luton are also in the market to sign a new goalkeeper. They have already brought back Jack Walton from his loan deal at Dundee United. However, that hasn’t stopped them from looking for a new No.1 keeper.
Manchester United’s Tom Heaton was Luton’s first choice for the position. However, the Red Devils have reportedly blocked a move for the 37-year-old ahead of the next season.
