After winning the long-awaited silverware, Romelu Lukaku paid tribute to his teammates before Inter’s game against Juventus.

Romelu Lukaku believes that there is a specific reason why Inter Milan was able to lift the Scudetto after a decade.

The Herculean striker is of the opinion that his side displayed absolute courage “to go to war” during the entire season. Moreover, he also called himself and his colleagues “crazy in the head”.

After a fantastic campaign under Antonio Conte, Inter stripped Juventus down from the throne to end a decade-long title drought.

Before Nerazzurri’s clash with Juve, Lukaku spoke about his teammates and their ability to challenge big honours.

“Every team needs players to go to war,” the Belgian told DAZN. “[Nicolo] Barella and I, as well as Lautaro [Martinez] and [Marcelo] Brozovic, we are crazy in the head! But we give ourselves energy.”

“The games against Milan, Atalanta and Lazio were still waiting for us. Compared to last year, we have won more direct clashes.”

“We have shown that we are stronger. After the win against Atalanta, I said to myself: ‘OK, we are really there for the Scudetto’.”
