One of the most in-form strikers at present, the Belgian marksman has been tipped for a Premier League return this summer.
Romelu Lukaku pours cold water on Inter Milan exit rumors by confirming his intentions of staying put at Inter Milan.
Lukaku has been linked with following in the footsteps of Antonio Conte, who departed Inter last month and is expected to move to the Premier League.
Among those said to be interested in securing the services of the Serie A MVP recipient, who scored 24 goals and supplied 11 assists in the league to lead the Nerazzurri to their first title in 11 years this season, are Chelsea and Manchester City.
The 28-year-old striker, however, has had a “positive conversation” with Conte’s successor – expected to be Simone Inzaghi, who recently quit Lazio – and is not interested in leaving San Siro.
“Yes, I am staying,” Lukaku confirmed his intentions, speaking to the DevilTime show on Belgian TV station VTM.
“I’ve already had contact with the man who will become our new manager. Maybe I shouldn’t say that yet. It was a very positive conversation.
“There’s also the challenge of [winning the league] again. I feel good at Inter.”
