The Brazilian forward will end a memorable five-year spell in north London at the end of the season.
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Lucas Moura will leave the club at the end of his contract this summer.
The 30-year-old has faced some obstacles this season with injuries and struggles to find his groove, causing him to fail to score a goal in his 17 appearances.
“Wherever I am, my heart will always be here. You are my club,” Moura said on the club’s media.
“It has been the greatest honor to defend this badge. Every flick, every tackle, every leap, every goal. From the highest of highs to the lowest lows, from the beginning to the end, you sang my name. This has been my dream.
“This will always be my home. Some nights we will never forget, writing history together. I will always love you no matter where I go. We will meet again.”
Moura joined Tottenham in January 2018 from Paris Saint-Germain for €28 million. In 219 appearances, he has managed 38 goals and 27 assists for the club.
The Brazilian is best remembered for his incredible hat trick against Ajax in 2019, which sent Spurs through to the Champions League final in a semi-final victory. He’ll hope to feature in Tottenham’s final home game of the season on Saturday against Brentford.
“I will be Spurs forever.”
