Liverpool talismans Sadio Mane and Mo Salah have a healthy professional relationship with the Egyptian wanting to outscore his Senegalese counterpart.

Sadio Mane was at Anfield before the Jurgen Klopp’s gegenpress wielding Reds became juggernauts of Europe and England. Mo Salah’s addition improved them beyond bounds, making Liverpool’s attack feared across the continent.

The Champions League and Premier League success was ensured thanks to their reliable attacking trident of Salah, Mane, and Firminio.

It is not all rosy at the Merseyside as seeds of discontent were visible last season. Mane and Salah do not look eye to eye. The Senegalese star was frustrated with Salah’s solo efforts.

Dejan Lovren had a first-row seat at Liverpool. The Croatian informed that there is a competition between the two with Salah harboring ambitions of scoring goals. The Egyptian works hard for his goals and does not blame anyone if he doesn’t.

Lovren believes it has ultimately helped the Reds. The  fight for goals between the African superstars has served Liverpoool’s cause.

“I see it in a different way,” Lovren told KingFut.

“It is good to have competition between players. It is normal, Salah wants to score more than Mane, and this is football. If both players are in good form, then it serves the team well and that’s the most important thing.

“When Salah doesn’t score in a game, he doesn’t blame Mane for not scoring. Instead, he focuses on his mistakes to improve for the next game.”
