The England captain has found an incredible start to his career at Allianz Arena.
Bayern Munich legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has praised Harry Kane for his instant impact at the club.
Kane became the Bundesliga’s record transfer after completing a £100m move from Tottenham in the summer transfer window. For a player who had spent his entire career in the London side, Kane’s seamless integration and his consistent start at Bayern Munich has earned him widespread praise.
The English striker has scored 25 goals in 22 matches across all competitions, leading the goalscoring charts in the Bundesliga. But Rummenigge believes Kane’s impact is not limited to his goal numbers.
“I was certain from the start that he would be a good fit. What impresses me most about Harry is that he is a team player,” the two-time Ballon d’Or winner told dpa.
“He runs every meter. He doesn’t see himself above running. And that also pushes the others. The goals are just part of his quality.”
Asked about Kane’s prospect of breaking Robert Lewandowski‘s record for the most goals scored in a single Bundesliga campaign, Rummenigge added: “It was probably love at first sight with Harry and the Bundesliga.
“I think it’s still too early to speculate about the season’s best marks.”
After the winter break, Bayern continue their Bundesliga season with a match against Hoffenheim on January 12.
