The Reds have tied Curtis Jones down to a new contract ahead of the winter transfer window.

Curtis Jones has signed a new contract until 2027 at Liverpool.

At 21 years old, the English star has made 81 appearances for the Reds. Having made his debut in 2021, Jones has established himself as a reliable option in Jurgen Klopp’s midfield line.

“First of all, I want to thank the coaching staff for having the belief in me as always, for giving me the chance,” Jones told Liverpool’s official website.

“And of course for me, I’m over the moon, I’m buzzing. It was an easy thing [to decide to renew].

“It’s my boyhood club, I’m a Scouser, I’ve supported the club for the whole of my life, so yeah, I’m buzzing and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

“I think if I was at a different club as well, my goal and aim and dream would always be to come here and play. But I’m here now, I’ve been here since I was six, I’ve gone all the way through.”

Jones became Liverpool’s youngest-ever captain when he wore the armband in an FA Cup match in February 2020.

This season, Jones has made four Premier League and two Champions League appearances for the Reds. Let’s see if Klopp would provide the England U21 star with more game time in the second half of the campaign.
