Arsenal have gotten the better of Liverpool in the last couple of games, and Jurgen Klopp is eager to not let that happen on Sunday.

Only on three occasions in the entire 2019-20 season were Liverpool found on the wrong end of the scoreline, with the match against Arsenal in July being one of them.

Jurgen Klopp’s men had already been declared champions when they suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat at the hands of Arsenal away from home in the Premier League.

In the following fixture between them, the Reds yet again finished second-best as, after being held to a 1-1 draw until the end of normal time, they lost the Community Shield finals on penalties.

The two sides will now meet once again in the new league campaign when Liverpool host Arsenal on Sunday night, and Klopp suggests his side will be looking for a revenge.

“We want to strike back,” the German manager said in a news conference ahead of Sunday’s clash at Anfield, as per Goal.

“Results give confidence, but analysis is there so you can judge the games in the right way.

“It’s not like Arsenal smashed us and we had absolutely no chance, so they know it’s a different game and we know it’s a different game. So the last result, in this case, is not too long ago. It’s just one information and not the only information.”
