The Reds leapfrog to the top of the table after showing their class and recording yet another comfortable victory.
Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Naby Keita were on target as Liverpool eased to a 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Mane made the breakthrough minutes before half-time to reach the milestone of scoring a century of goals for Liverpool. Pouncing on a rebound at the back post, the Senegalese also became the first player in Premier League history to score in nine consecutive games against the same opponent.
Mohamed Salah came one step closer to becoming a league centurion for the club when he, striking home a Virgil van Dijk flick-on after a Konstantinos Tsimikas corner, netted his 99th league goal for the Reds to double their advantage late in the second half.
It was Naby Keita who handed the Eagles the final blow in the final few minutes with a wonderful volleyed effort. The strike marked the midfielder’s first goal for the club since July 2020.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have now moved to the top of the Premier League table while Crystal Palace drop down to 13th position.
