The Reds duo’s unimpressed reactions to their downgraded ratings on FIFA 22 were caught on camera.

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane were far from impressed with their latest ratings on the newly launched FIFA 22 game.

EA Sports downgraded their pair from last year’s edition after an injury-hit Liverpool’s struggles in the 2020/21 campaign.

In FIFA 21, Salah had a 90 rating and was ranked as the ninth-best player in the game. But EA Sports dropped the Egyptian’s rating to 89 in FIFA 22 and has him ranked as the 12th-best player instead.

To be fair, being the 12th-best player in the world is still an awesome achievement. But in Salah’s case, he scored more goals for Liverpool last season and perhaps was wrongfully downgraded.

In a clip on Liverpool’s YouTube channel, Andy Robertson and Virgil van Dijk handed out VIP copies of FIFA 22 to the game and Salah’s reaction to -1 downgrade was seen.

“Why’ve you been downgraded, Mo? You’ve gone down by one,” Robertson asked Salah.

The Reds forward replied: “I don’t know. I scored more goals last season than the season before I think…”

Robertson then teased: “You know what as well, Mo? I’m stronger than you,”

“Seriously? Milly! Milly! [James Milner] Can you please explain this to me? Robbo is stronger than me!” replied Salah.

As for Mane, who also got downgraded from 90 to 89 in FIFA, the reaction was perhaps a tad more emotional.

“I’m not happy! I’m not happy!” the Senegal international told Van Dijk.

EA Sports also downgraded Salah and Mane’s Liverpool teammates Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker on FIFA 22.
