Liverpool star Elliot provides update on his injury

Harvey Elliot suffered a serious ankle injury earlier this season, but he is slowly moving toward full recovery.

Harvey Elliot has provided injury on his ankle injury through a series of Instagram stories.

The 18-year-old suffered a horrible injury during Liverpool‘s 3-0 win over Leeds United in September. Elliot underwent surgery and is slowly regaining his fitness.

The youngster posted a photo on Instagram, which shows him working with leg weights at Liverpool’s AXA Training Centre.

The teenager also posted several stories of his workout, with the caption ‘Bad leg???’.

Elliot broke through the Reds’ senior team at the beginning of the current campaign. The English winger delivered impressive performances in his four appearances for Liverpool this season.

However, he is sidelined with a long-term injury that might seriously affect his development as a youngster.

In an interview in September, Liverpool’s team doctor Jim Moxon said he expects Elliot to play again this season.

“We won’t put pressure on him by setting a specific timeframe beyond being able to say with confidence we expect him to feature again later in the season following our rehab programme.” he told the club’s official website.

After the international break, Liverpool will return to action with a match against Arsenal on November 20.
