The Reds have entered negotiations to sell Fabinho ahead of the next season.

Fabinho’s future at Liverpool hangs in the balance as he has been excluded from the squad for the pre-season camp in Germany.

The Saudi outfit Al-Ittihad has reportedly tabled a £40 million offer for Fabinho, putting his potential departure from Anfield in motion.

Jurgen Klopp’s decision to leave the Brazilian out of the pre-season training camp squad suggests that the player’s time with Liverpool may be coming to an end.

Fabinho’s performance in the 2022-23 season was below par compared to his previous seasons with the club. Liverpool receiving £40 million for the midfielder would be considered a great deal, given his age.

The Reds, who might also sell Jordan Henderson in the coming days, are eyeing Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia as Fabinho’s relacement.

The highly-rated teenager has attracted interest from a host of elite sides, including Chelsea and Arsenal, but the Reds are leading the race for his signature. Last season, Lavia made 29 league appearances for the Saints as they suffered relegation to the Championship.
