After the 2020/21 Premier League fixtures were released, a supercomputer predicted how the final standings will look next May.
Liverpool will begin the defense of their Premier League crown at home to Championship winners Leeds United on September 12, gunning to win back-to-back titles for the first time since the early 80s.
The Reds, who finished 18 points above their nearest challengers last season, are favorites again. Although Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea plan to spoil the party. Tottenham and Arsenal, meanwhile, have an outside chance of joining the fray.
There’s also a feisty little relegation battle ahead as the newly promoted Leeds, West Brom, and Fulham hope to survive at the first of asking.
So in an attempt to figure out how the season will go down, Unikrn’s supercomputer, as reported on the Express, predicted how the Premier League table will look in May next year.
The most eye-catching part was seeing Liverpool in second-place, ruling out hopes of back-to-back titles. City are tipped to finish top instead. Therefore, they’ll win a third crown in just four seasons.
United and Chelsea, meanwhile, are set to finish in the exact same positions they did in the previous campaign, with Tottenham and Arsenal wrapping up the top-six.
Although Leeds are set to survive in their first season back in the English top-flight with a respectable 12th-placed finish. Aston Villa, Fulham and West Brom will instead drop down to the Championship.
