Is another Liverpool star on his way to Saudi Arabia ahead of the next season?

Liverpool are reportedly not planning to sell Luis Diaz this summer despite concrete interest from Al Hilal.

The Reds are already on the verge of selling both Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Saudi Arabian clubs. However, Jurgen Klopp doesn’t seem interested in letting Diaz follow in their footsteps.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the German manager considers Diaz a crucial part of his Liverpool plans. Al Hilal have placed a tempting £43m bid to recruit Diaz, but the Reds are not keen to enter negotiations for the Portuguese star.

Diaz found a strong start at Liverpool after arriving from Porto in January 2022. However, two knee injuries kept the Reds star sidelined for almost six months last season.

Most of Liverpool’s transfer plans this summer have centred around rebuilding their midfield line. It seems that Klopp is keen to go into the next season with minimal changes in his attacking setup.

The Reds have already added Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai to their ranks while keeping tabs on three Bayern Munich midfielders.

Liverpool were heavily linked with a move for Ryan Gravenberch earlier this summer. But in recent weeks, English outlets have speculated that the Reds might try to sign Joshua Kimmich or Leon Goretzka ahead of the next season.
