The Reds could have their star forward back after his poor start at Bayern Munich.

Liverpool will reportedly have a chance to re-sign Sadio Mane from Bayern Munich this season.

Mane ended his six-year spell at Anfield to join the Bavarians last summer. The Senegalese star’s departure left a significant gap in the Reds’ attacking line as they struggled for goalscoring consistency throughout the previous campaign.

Mane himself also found an underwhelming start at Bayern. The 31-year-old registered seven goals and five assists in his 25 appearances for the German champions. He also came under fire for his fight with teammate Leroy Sane after a Champions League defeat against Manchester City.

According to Bild (via Liverpool Echo), Bayern are ready to offload both Mane and Serge Gnabry as they prepare for a summer overhaul under Thomas Tuchel.

Following a shock decision to sack Julian Nagelsmann, the Bavarians missed out on DFB-Pokal and the Champions League trophies while almost losing the Bundesliga title race to Borussia Dortmund.

Liverpool have made a few signings to cover for Mane’s departure, but Jurgen Klopp is yet to find his new attacking setup at Anfield. Let’s see if the Reds will show interest in re-signing Mane amid their efforts to rebuild their main lineup this summer.
