Sevilla forward Lucas Ocampos has dropped a hint on his future at the club, amid recent links to Liverpool and Leeds.
Liverpool and Leeds United target Lucas Ocampos has addressed speculation of his future at Sevilla, insisting he is ‘not thinking of playing anywhere else’ right now.
Reports claimed recently that Liverpool were interested in signing the 26-year-old, while fellow Premier League side Leeds were also said to be interested in his signature.
Ocampos has established himself as one of La Liga’s most impressive wingers after arriving at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium from Marseille two years ago.
Speaking on his future, he claims he is very happy where he is at the moment.
“I always say the same thing,” he told Canal Sur Radio.
“I’m focusing on the present and I don’t look further ahead of the things that I cannot control.”
“I love this city and what has happened in the past two years. I hope it continues.”
“I’m very happy here and I’m not thinking of playing anywhere else than here.”
“I’m very grateful to the club because they gave me confidence and allowed me to grow in certain facets of my game, which other clubs had not.”
Liverpool had reportedly identified Ocampos as as the man to add pace and quality to their faltering attack.
Ocampos is said to have a ยฃ56m release clause in his contract, with Reds believed to be willing to include Takumi Minamino in the deal to try and tempt Sevilla into parting with the Argentine.
