The Reds are the latest club to enter the digital world with their own NFTs set to go on sale next week.
Liverpool have announced the launch of their first official non-fungible tokens (NFT) collection, the LFC Heroes Club.
The Premier League giants have partnered with Sotheby’s metaverse to sell a club NFT collection. The assemblage will feature generative imagery of each of their 24 players. According to the press release, Liverpool claim it will be an ‘innovative way to celebrate being an LFC fan from anywhere in the world’.
Liverpool’s collection will also comprise 24 ‘Legendary’ one-of-one copies and a limited ‘Hero’ edition that will be up for auction between March 30-April 1. They will sell the rest of the NFTs at lower price points, starting at $75.
Fans can buy the NFTs by wire transfer or a cryptocurrency wallet from a Sotheby’s approved exchange. Its Metaverse accepts crypto payments in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and USD Coin (USDC).
Mohamed Salah will surely be among the most sought-after collectibles on auction day. The Egyptian star once had an NFT card sold for $141,560.31.
