The Reds suffered a disappointing defeat against their opponents earlier this month.

Jurgen Klopp insists Liverpool have changed since their 3-0 defeat against Brighton on January 14.

Since their last battle against the Seagulls, Liverpool have defeated Wolves and drew 0-0 against Chelsea. The Reds must take on Brighton again when the two sides meet in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Speaking ahead of the game, Klopp said: “We had of course intense talks after the Brighton game. We had to change immediately.

“A couple of days later we had Wolves and we looked a different team but I will not do a meeting and show all of the Brighton game, it would be a proper horror show.

“It is still the worst game I ever saw. That didn’t change since then, thank God. Pretty much everything went wrong. We had to change everything.”

Klopp has mainly used Naby Keita, Thiago Alcantara, and Stefan Bajcetic in midfield since their defeat against Brighton. The former Borussia Dortmund boss suggests his side must play with a similar formation in their upcoming FA Cup match.

“If we are more compact than we were at Brighton that would be really helpful,” Klopp added.

“The midfield three worked well for these games, we will see who will work on Sunday. I like the rhythm the mix of offensive and defensive readiness.”
