The Reds have struggled with their low squad depth so far this season.

Jurgen Klopp has admitted his side could’ve made a better start to the Premier League campaign by adding another player.

Liverpool are enduring their worst start to the season under Klopp, sitting tenth in the Premier League.

The Reds added Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho, and Calvin Ramsey to their ranks, while Arthur Melo arrived on a loan deal from Juventus.

But those transfers haven’t been enough to cover for the Reds’ high-profile departures and injury problems.

Speaking ahead of his side’s Premier League clash against Tottenham, Klopp spoke about his side’s recent transfer activity.

“I am not a big believer in looking back, saying ‘if we would have, that would have changed everything’,” Klopp told Sky Sports.

“I think it’s clear that another player in specific positions would have helped us in moments, definitely. But our problems are not because we miss a player.

“You cannot prepare for everything. While it is wild and irrational in moments, I think we have to ride it out. We will get through this.”

Liverpool hope to salvage their season after the World Cup, with January transfer rumours already circulating around some of their possible targets.
