The Reds boss has agreed to a deal that will keep him at Anfield until 2026.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has signed a new contract extension with the club.
The German manager and his staff were previously tied to a deal until 2024, with the new deal extending their stay for two more years.
Klopp announced his decision in a video published by Liverpool’s official Twitter account.
“I stay for another two years,” the former Borussia Dortmund coach said.
“And not only me! No! All my coaches as well, which is most important, actually. ‘Why?’ is now the question. Because [my wife] Ulla wants to stay! As a good husband, what are you doing when your wife wants to stay? You stay.
“That’s not the only reason. ou know I love our club. It’s the best place to be. I feel really, really lucky.
“What is it now? Six and a half years ago FSG it would be a good idea to bring a German fella in and here we are.
“We’ll stay for another two, makes it four from now on. Wow. That’s a long time in football.”
On Thursday, the Athletic reported that Liverpool’s pursuit of the quadruple has had a big impact on ‘re-energizing’ Klopp to continue his job at Anfield.
Following a crucial win over Villarreal in the Champions League, Liverpool will now return to the Premier League to continue their close title race with Manchester City. The Reds will face Newcastle, who are on an impressive four-game winning streak.
