Liverpool youth coach Gary O’Neil has responded to claims that Mohamed Salah is unhappy at the club and considering a move elsewhere.
Mohamed Salah continues to impress on the pitch but the forward has seen much uncertainty off it.
Recent reports claim Liverpool could consider selling the Egyptian after alleged claims of unhappiness at the club.
Any of such rumors were further fueled after Salah recently said he was left disappointed by Klopp’s decision to overlook him for the captain’s armband to give Alexander-Arnold in the absence of Henderson.
In that same interview, the 28-year-old refused to rule out the prospect of leaving Liverpool next summer. Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona have been linked to the forward over the past few months.
Despite what the obvious indications could be pointing at, Liverpool youth coach Gary O’Neil says Salah doesn’t look like someone who is unhappy at the club.
“I’m keen to judge it on performances and the guy that came on for half an hour against Crystal Palace doesn’t seem unhappy, for me.” the Reds coach said to talkSPORT.
“What I’m hearing about how hard he works in training and how bubbly he is around the ground, I don’t see it being an issue.”
“Players will give interviews and, sometimes, especially when they are done in other countries and other languages, there will be stuff that comes back.”
“I think you have to judge him on his performances and for me he doesn’t look like a guy unhappy at Liverpool Football Club.”
“What I hear about how he trains and how hard he works he definitely doesn’t give off the notion that he is unhappy.”
