Legendary Jamie Carragher commented on Liverpool’s attitude towards winning the Premier League title under Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool players are giving out title vibes right from the beginning of the campaign. Former Reds player Jamie Carragher believes that the club is not going to lack the motivation to win another title. Liverpool won the Premier League in the 2019-20 season.

Jurgen Klopp guided the Merseyside club in his own way. Consequently, Liverpool won their first league trophy after 30 years.

That success included major tournaments like Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and Club World Cup. Liverpool sensed the feeling of high-life during their triumph.

Klopp will make sure the Reds do not slip at any point. At Anfield, it is believed that defending trophies is harder than winning in the first place.

Liverpool has succeeded in winning three games in a row. Certainly, the club is on a positive start. They want to defend the English league title. But also, the eyes are set on the Carabao Cup, and Liverpool continues to be in good shape.

The Reds won their last game on the away turf. They beat Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. Whereas, Chelsea also fought for the three points but the result was a loss for them.

Carragher’s belief

Carragher trusts in the Liverpool system. He believes that the victory over Chelsea shows the commitment of the club. Moreover, Klopp’s men will not allow anyone to steal their standards and assure efficient performance.

The Liverpool legend told Sky Sports: “They won’t drop off in intensity or attitude or mentality, that won’t be allowed to happen with the manager they have got.

“They could drop off with their performance because that can happen sometimes with different players. If someone is slightly better than you, you have to hold your hands up.

“Liverpool has climbed the mountain to win the league and they won’t feel like they have done it and don’t need to do anything else.

“The Chelsea game reaffirmed that. I felt that would always be the case having watched this team and Jurgen Klopp for so long.

“I think it was a performance that sent a little title message from Liverpool to their rivals that they will be there despite not signing too many players before the Leeds game and it not going as well as possible even though they got the result they would have wanted.

“It was a great week for Liverpool.”

Ahead of their game against Chelsea, the Merseyside added two new signings. Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota both join under Klopp.

They made instant connections with the club, playing a league game and a cup game. Although, there is a possibility of new arrivals before the end of the transfer season on October 5.
