An incredible display from the Argentine icon saw the Albiceleste win the friendly match.

Lionel Messi scored all of Argentina’s goals during their 5-0 win over Estonia on Sunday.

The PSG star opened the scoring by converting a penalty in the eighth minute. He then converted Papu Gomez’s assist to double Argentina’s lead just before the half-time whistle.

Only two minutes into the second half, Messi registered his 56th hat-trick with a precise strike from inside the box. It was a trademark finish after an inch-perfect cutback from Nahuel Molina.

Argentina continued their attacks after both sides made a host of substitutions in the middle of the second period. Messi made it 4-0 in the 71st minute after beating Estonia’s keeper with a fake shot.

The Barcelona legend then scored his fifth goal of the night following a poorly-cleared ball in the 76th minute.

Argentina had a few more opportunities to increase their lead in the final ten minutes but couldn’t convert their chances.

The crushing victory comes after Argentina’s win over Italia in the Finalissima on Wednesday. Messi didn’t score during the 3-0 victory but provided two assists for Lautaro Martinez and Paulo Dybala.

Messi and co will continue their preparation for the 2022 World Cup with a friendly match against their arch-rivals Brazil next Saturday.
