Until this evening, Ryan Giggs was the only player in the competition’s history to score goals in 16 different seasons of the tournament. The Welsh legend started his Champions League journey during the ‘90s decade, he also won a treble as Messi did. In fact, Giggs was the Red Devils’ version of what Messi was for so long.

No other footballer in history has been able to accomplish that before Leo.
