Following a giant victory with Bayern Munich last night, Robert Lewandowski marked yet another landmark in the Champions League.

Robert Lewandowski reached another milestone after netting a hat-trick for Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Poland international’s three goals helped the German champions thrash Benfica by 5-2 in a group stage encounter. With this win, Bayern secured a ticket to the next phase of the European tournament.

Lewandowski also completed his 100th appearance in the elite competition with yet another dazzling performance.

Stating facts. 📊

If we talk about the numbers, Lewa has 81 goals in 100 outings in the Champions League. He now falls behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who have 139 goals in 180 games and 123 strikes in 152 matches, respectively.

Not only that, but Lewandowski is also the top scorer of the competition so far with eight goals in just four games.

To tell the truth, Messi and Ronaldo are the only ones who have more hat-tricks in this competition than the Polish striker.

What was said? 🇵🇱

“I never thought that we could play so many matches with so many goals and assists,” Lewandowski admitted said after the match.

“During the first 20 minutes, I hardly had the ball. In the second half, it is not that easy for an attacker to remain patient. After the first goal, it’s always a little easier,” he added.
