The Bayern Munich goal-machine Robert Lewandowski is confident of carrying his predatory form deep into his 30s.

Lewandowski turned 32 only last month but remains confident of his ability to continue delivering for Bayern Munich and country for years to come.

Arguably the fiercest No 9 in Europe’s top-five leagues, the former Borussia Dortmund hit-man finished the 2019/20 season with whopping 55 goals to his name.

Lewandowski became the first player to win all three continental competitions he took part in as the top-scorer.

Additionally, he joined Cristiano Ronaldo on a limited list of players to score 15+ goals in a single Champions League campaign.

The prolific Pole also fired in 34 goals in 31 Bundesliga appearances en route of Bayern’s record-extending eighth straight league title.

Despite entering the twilight years of his professional footballer’s career, Lewandowski believes he can continue performing at the highest level for a few more years.

“I don’t feel like I’m 32,” the Poland international said, as relayed by the Bundesliga’s official website.

“I feel better than I did at 26, not just physically, but also in terms of my footballing and technical ability. I’ve been working very hard over the past few years to reach my optimum level.

“I’m very happy that I have managed to do this, and can play football at the highest level for even longer.”

Lewandowski’s deal at the Allianz Arena runs out in 2023, but he insists it will not be his last.

“My current contract is not my last,” Lewandowski confirmed.

“I want to play even longer. I want to achieve even more. My teammates in Munich feel the same way.

“Ending my career at FC Bayern is an option, of course. But I still have so many years left in me. I’m not thinking about the end of my career. I’m doing everything I can to stay at this level for a few more years at least.
