The forward’s future has been a subject of speculations lately, with less than two years remaining on his contract at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah intends to stay at Liverpool “until the last day of my football career” but insists he’s not sure what the future holds for him.

Salah delaying signing contract extension at Liverpool has sparked rumors that he might be considering taking up a new challenge.

It has been suggested his high wage demand is acting as a stumbling block in the renewal negotiations, with the Egypt international said to be demanding over £300,000 per week.

The 29-year-old was linked with Real Madrid in the past and has recently been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, who reportedly view him as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe.

“If you ask me, I would love to stay until the last day of my football career, but I can’t say much about that – it’s not in my hands,” Salah told Sky Sports, essentially refuting such speculations.

“It depends on what the club want, not on me.

“At the moment I can’t see myself ever playing against Liverpool. That would make me sad. It’s hard, I don’t want to talk about it, but it would make me really sad.
