Leicester have identified Sergio Rico as the man to replace Kasper Schmeichel should their No 1 goalkeeper leave this summer.

Sergio Rico is already being lined up as a replacement should Kasper Schmeichel leave the King Power stadium this summer.

According to the Mirror, the Foxes have been watching the Sevilla goalkeeper who is currently on loan at PSG.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the Manchester United chiefs have turned their attention to Schmeichel. The 33-year-old could provide the best value buy for a goalkeeper this summer.

United no 1 David de Gea endured a bitter-sweet season and his place at the club is under much scrutiny.

The Red Devils might make a swoop for Schmeichel and Leicester want to be prepared by getting their alternative in Sergio Rico ready.

For United, youngster Dean Henderson will return to the club after his successful loan spell at Sheffield United. However, Solskaer is not yet convinced the youngster is ready to be the club’s first choice option. Hence, he might be loaned out somewhere yet again.

Sergio Rico will not cost so much should Leicester move for him and the Foxes are confident of landing him if they lose Schmeichel.
