Brendan Rodgers’s men are aiming to reach the top of the table for least 24 hours but have Frank Lampard’s star-studded side in their way.

Chelsea are set to pay a visit to Leicester City on Tuesday in the elongated matchday 19 of the Premier League.

Currently sitting at seventh with 29 points after 18 games, the visitors will be determined to get a much-needed win and move closer to top-four.

The hosts leapfrogged above defending champions Liverpool in their previous game and will now hope to do the same to league leaders Manchester United.

Leicester City vs Chelsea Form:

The Foxes should go into the match with their heads held high for a couple of reasons.

First, they come on the back of a 2-0, yet hard-fought, win over Southampton. Secondly, they are carrying a six-game unbeaten streak in all competitions. Also, they maintain a 100 percent win record in 2021 having won each of their three matches.

The Blues also come into the game with a positive result beforehand, having beaten ten-man Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

However, they have a lot to prove this season due to several undesirable results and below-par performances.

Unable to get results against the likes of Everton, Wolves, Arsenal, and Manchester City, they have picked up just seven points from the available 21 in their last seven league outings.

Chelsea are very much in the mix for a top-four finish but their title credentials remain in serious doubt.

Leicester City vs Chelsea Head-to-head:

Frank Lampard’s men have an advantage over Brendan Rodgers’s side in head-to-head, having won 10 games and lost just two in 17 previous meetings.

Chelsea beat Leicester 1-0 last time out when the sides met in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Leicester City vs Chelsea Team News:

N’Golo Kante, who is battling a hamstring injury, will sit out the clash.

For the hosts, Dennis Praet will be missing as he continues his recovery from a thigh problem.
