An angry Leicester City fan ran inside the pitch to attack Forest players after his side went three goals down.

Nottingham Forest defeated Leicester City 4-1 in their FA Cup game on Sunday. The hosts put three goals behind the Foxes’ net in the space of nine minutes during the first half.

Kelechi Iheanacho pulled one back for Leicester, but a goal from Djed Spence put the victory to bed for the Reds just before the hour-mark.

However, a bizarre incident after Forest’s third goal overshadowed their brilliant win. As players gathered to celebrate the goal, a Leicester City fan ran into the field and threw punches at them.

Security guards chucked the man onto the turf before escorting him out of the field. Neither the teams nor the English FA has reacted to the incident as of now. The fan will most likely receive a stadium ban after the investigations.

The 4-1 win sent Forest to the fifth round of the FA Cup, where they will meet Huddersfield Town. On the other hand, Leicester continued their poor run of results as they remained winless for the third consecutive game.

The Foxes will meet Liverpool in a crucial Premier League game on Thursday while Nottingham Forest travels to meet Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.
