Man Utd claimed their third victory in a row as they bounced back from a slow start to the new season.
Manchester United defeated Leicester City 1-0 in their Premier League game on Friday. A narrow win at the King Power Stadium was enough for Erik ten Hag’s side to leapfrog Liverpool from the fifth spot of the Premier League table.
Sancho strikes again!
It took Man Utd a few minutes to take control of the game against Leicester. The Red Devils found their pressing rhythm, preventing the hosts from creating any chances.
Following a quick counter-attack, Sancho dribbled past Danny Ward before scoring his second goal of the season.
Having broken the deadlock, Man Utd pushed to double their lead at the beginning of the second period.
However, Leicester managed to keep them at bay by dominating the possession.
The Foxes made a few serious attempts to score the equalizer as they drove Man Utd to their own half in the final 15 minutes.
However, the Red Devils held on to their defensive integrity, registering their third victory in a row.
What’s next for United?
Ten Hag’s side have bounced back from their horrible defeats against Brighton and Brentford at the start of the season.
They will face their first serious test when they host Mikel Arteta’s in-form Arsenal this weekend.
