Napoli move on top of the Group C table as they beat Legia Warsaw in a five-goal thriller.

Napoli came back from behind to beat Legia Warsaw in their Europa League match on Thursday. The Serie A leaders continued their impressive run of recent weeks by bagging three points in Warsaw.

Legia Warsaw started the game with confidence and got their opener through Mahir Emreli in the tenth minute.

The Italian heavyweights quickly established their attacks to get the equalizer. However, the Napoli goal didn’t come until five minutes into the second half.

Piotr Zielinski scored the equalizer in the 51st minute before Dries Mertens put the Italian side ahead with another spot-kick 20 minutes later.

However, the Serie A leaders kept on attacking after the second goal. Hirving Lozano doubled Napoli’s lead with a left-footed shot in the 78th minute. Adam Ounas scored the fourth goal for Napoli with a precise shot in the last minute of the game.

Napoli lead the Group C standings ahead of Leicester City, while Legia suffer their first defeat of the tournament.
The Partenopei will face Verona in their next Serie A game on Sunday.
