Man City returned to winning ways in the Premier League with an easy win over Leeds.

Manchester City defeated Leeds 3-1 in their Premier League match on Wednesday. Pep Guardiola’s men maintained their second spot on the table with a dominant performance.

Haaland is BACK!

Man City were unexpectedly messy in their early efforts to score. But they got better and better as the game went on.

By the middle of the first period, the Citizens were completely dominating the game. However, they had to wait for the opener until just before half-time.

Following a shot from Riyad Mahrez, Rodri converted the rebound to put City ahead at Elland Road. The Citizens then doubled down on their attacking pressure as soon as the second half started.

A reckless pass in Leeds’ defence saw Jack Grealish snatch the ball in front of the keeper. Instead of shooting, however, the England international slid the ball to Erling Haaland, who added his name to the scoreline with a simple finish.

Grealish then provided another assist for Haaland when he completed his brace in the 64th minute. Following a brilliant one-two, the Norwegian striker made it 3-0 with a powerful low shot.

Leeds then tried to bounce back by attacking down both flanks. But City managed to repel most of their efforts with heavy pressing in midfield.

The Peacocks got one back when Pascal Struijk ruined City’s clean sheet in the 73rd minute. But they were not able to get past the guests’ backline again.

The victory maintains City’s five-goal gap with Premier League leaders Arsenal. The Citizens will host Everton in their next outing on Saturday.
