Let’s take a look at the Leeds United vs Leicester City Premier League player ratings after this match at Elland Road on Monday night.

Leeds United and Leicester City had a chance to reach the Top Four within the Premier League on a Monday night of English football. Marcelo Bielsa’s squad was more erratic than usual in front of Kasper Schmeichel and they paid a high price for their mistakes. On the other end, we had stellar performances from Jamie Vardy, Youri Tielemans, and a fantastic cameo from James Maddison.

The first half gave us two assists from Vardy to Barnes and Tielemans for a momentary 0-2 just before the break. Leicester City’s striker proves he is still in fantastic form with these two moments of clarity and perfect positioning inside the box. The Foxes’ striker would get his chance to score a goal during the second half.

Leeds miss their chance to tie the game.

During the second half, Dallas sent a high cross to the box that nobody could touch and scored an unexpected goal. Schmeichel wasn’t able to read the ball’s trajectory as he saw it move the back of the net early in the second half. After this, Leeds got motivated to go on the attack but they missed three clear chances.

Bamford wasn’t able to control a pass from deep in which Schmeichel got to the ball before he did. Hernandez sent a beautiful attempt to the crossbar, and Rodgers saw his chance to make the proper changes during this period. James Maddison came on the pitch next to Under to completely change the game.

The young England international set up Leicester City’s third goal that Jamie Vardy finished. He also got knocked down inside the box by Klich. Initially, his penalty wasn’t awarded but VAR fixed the issue. Tielemans scored from the spot but all credit goes to Maddison. A very important victory for the Fixes, who move to the Premier League’s second spot on the table.
